Hotels Near Cascade Mountain

When you come up to ski, it’s nice to stay locally because you can easily have a place to go relax and you can spend more time on the snow and make your trip worth it.

If you are planning to ski or snowboard for a few days at Cascade Mountain in Portage, WI, here are a few hotels I would suggest:

Closest Hotels to Cascade Mountain

  • Days Inn (N5781 Kinney Rd., Portage, WI 53901) – this one is the closest and the cheapest. They have a decent sized pool and a small whirlpool. They offer a decent breakfast. I’ve stayed here. There aren’t many restaurants in the area but it’s an easy 4 minute drive to Cascade in the morning if you want to catch some first tracks.
  • Comfort Suites (N 5780 Kinney Rd., Portage, WI 53901) – this one is also very close and it’s nicer. The pool area is larger. This hotel would be nice for families. I’ve stayed here before, too. The breakfast is good. (Note: In the 2023-2024 season, I heard the staff is minimal and they’re having trouble keeping the place clean (cockroaches in rooms). Go to the Best Western. I’ve been there recently and it’s great.)

Hotels Closer to More Restaurants

  • Best Western (2701 County Road CX, Portage, WI 53901) – if you want something closer to more restaurants and entertainment, then this one is more in the city of Portage.

Wisconsin Dells Hotels

Many times, families come out and do a day of skiing and a day of indoor water parks in the Wisconsin Dells. There are many, good Wisconsin Dells hotels to check out.
